SYSTEMIC FAMILY CONSTELLATION THERAPY

A therapeutic approach to issues long held in a genetic line which, unknowingly and often surprisingly, re-emerge in our lives and our children’s lives as illness, breakdown in relationships and personal issues.

“When it comes to our parents and our family history, we have no choice and no say in the matter. We are simply connected and subject to the influence of the collective conscience of our particular system. But we do have some choice about how entangled we are and remain.”

— Stephen Hausner

HOW DOES IT WORK?

What is it to Belong? To feel embraced, welcomed, understood? In your family, in your country, in your body, on Earth? How present are you able to be with your family? Colleagues? Friends?

Some of us have always felt fully or partially excluded from those around us – our family, community or perhaps your exclusion has manifested as illness which carries its own challenges. Family Constellation helps us find our place. It reveals the mysteries of why we feel pain and confusion around certain people and issues in our life and brings profound relief to many.

It is both subtle and remarkable work based on the Soul Impulse moving in the body. It is known to offer insight where other modalities have been unable to yield answers.

Family Constellation therapy can be experienced as a 1:1 session with a Facilitator and as group work where the group assists as Representatives for the Seeker – the person working with the Facilitator on their particular question. Both are powerful and offer opportunities for insight and transformation.

Systemic Family Constellation work addresses long-held issues in a family system that often emerge across generations, such as:

  • Illness

  • Relationship breakdowns

  • Personal struggles

It’s a path to restoring love and compassion for yourself and your family, ensuring generational pain doesn’t carry forward.

A key is how we regard our parents: we reject in our parents, we reject in ourselves.

  • We may also reject these aspects in our children.

  • Rejecting our parents blocks the energetic ancestral life-flow.

  • We may feel weaker in life, less able to face challenges, and more easily knocked over.

“Peace isn’t about ending conflict, friction, or judging right and wrong. It’s about belonging. When the Soul is connected to the Source of life, nothing is too big to manage. Our peace comes from that connection.”

— Bert Hellinger, the founder of Family Constellation Work

Key Principles

Belonging

Everyone has a place in the family, no matter what.

Exclusion disrupts balance and may lead to illness or misfortune.

Even those forgotten, rejected, or harmed are part of the family system.

Order

Natural flow: parents give, children receive.

Children carrying too many burdens disrupts balance, often seen in addiction or violence.

Returning the burden restores harmony.

Balance

Giving and receiving must be balanced between family members.

Opposites need each other to move forward.

Family Constellation work uncovers hidden dynamics for real healing.

Illness is best understood in the cross-generational context.

  • Constellation work is weird, wonderful and magic! I have read and watched Bert Hellinger’s work with fascination and interest in the past. It is wonderful that this work is now relatively known here in New Zealand, and I am so happy to be lucky enough to experience it here in Warkworth! When Sylvia said she is now offering family constellation sessions, I was excited. The two sessions I participated in were of slightly different nature. The first one was a group session as originally offered by Bert Hellinger. The second one was a one-on-one session with crystals as ‘ representatives ’. This was most extraordinary as I had no idea who was who so to speak. When the session was unravelled, the connections were spot on! I couldn’t believe it. Subsequently a whole string of events unravelled that shuffled the relationships in question to a much more harmonious constellation. I highly recommend Sylvia, who is a very experienced and intuitive practitioner. She brings decades of wisdom and healing to everyone who wants to heal and move on in their lives.
